Welcome to Estacada’s only REAL BEER hall.

Featuring the finest beers brewed in your home town!

-----Standard Beers-----

Clackamas Cream Ale - Light colored, light bodied,  thirst quenching beer. Reminds you of a steam beer or a premium macrobrew.      OG=1.042 / FG=1.006 / 15-IBU’s / 4.8 % alcohol

Bennett’s Pale Ale – A balance of the sweetness of grain and the bitterness of Northwest grown hops. Light in color, light on the tongue.   OG=1.054 / FG=1.016 / 32-IBU’s / 5% alcohol

Scottish Ale – From beer novice to beer geek, everyone loves this beer!  Scottish brewers traditionally do not use a lot of hops in their beers. This is a carmel/malty beer with a slightly nutty roasty component. Amber in color.    OG=1.053 / FG=1.013 / 20-IBU’s / 5.3% alcohol

Ken's Wicked Brown – High spirited, bold, roasty beer with a generous helping of Columbus hops and a distinct brown malt background.  OG=1.052 / FG=1.012 / 56-IBU’s / 5.3% alcohol

Porter - This beer is traditional in style. Porters should have a caramel roasty malt presence, but maintain a mellow character. This one won’t assault you. If you like dark beers but not the charcoal aftertaste, try this one!                         OG=1.054 / FG=1.016 / 24-IBU’s / 5% alcohol

----Premium beers----

India Pale Ale (IPA) - This style features a very pronounced hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. Malt backbone is present but definitely plays a minor role to the Simcoe, Galena, Columbus, Perle and Cascade hops.                                          OG= 1.050 / FG= 1.012 / 98-IBU's / 5% alcohol

Spring Seasonal - Maibock – Very light, bright, beer with fresh graininess. This was the beer the German brewers traditionally released in the spring from the long winter brewing months.

      OG= 1.044 / FG= 1.011 / 32-IBU’s / 7% alcohol

Winter Seasonal - Strong Scotch Ale (till it's gone) - A huge malty beer. Hops are subdued in this style. A nutty roasty finish is the hallmark.    OG=1.080 / FG=1.020 / 25-IBU’s / 8% alcohol

Our Story:

Welcome to our brewery.  Our hope is that you will find it a relaxing, fun place, with some of the best beer in the Northwest.  About 10 years ago Ken Johnson, the owner of Fearless Brewing Company, owned an engine parts distribution warehouse. He was pretty obsessed about the business and worked all of the time.  For Christmas one year, his wife Bennett bought him a home brewing kit in an attempt to provide him with distraction.  Ken took to the hobby readily, which quickly became a new obsession.

Ken named his beer Fearless (a childhood nickname) and began entering competitions and winning.  The first was the Rose Festival Home Brewers competition in 1998.  Ken entered three beers and brought home four medals including "Best of Show".  Over the past years he has won many competitions. He has several medals from the American Home Brewers Association National Homebrew Competition. His BarleyWine won a silver medal in the Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing

It became clear that Ken was meant to brew, and not just in his garage.  Bennett and Ken started saving and planning, resulting in our establishment you see today. We want our brewery to be Estacada’s living room: a place to invite your friends and entertain visitors to the area.  Thank you for coming and stop by again soon!

The Pictures: All of the people in the pictures are our relatives.  Ken was raised in Nebraska.  His family still farms their original homestead there.  Bennett moved to Oregon from California when she was 8 years old.  Starting on the north wall nearest the bar and working counter clockwise around the building:

  1. Ken’s great grandfather and grandmother.  Pete Johnson came to Nebraska from Sweden, where he claimed the homestead Ken farmed until coming to Oregon. He married Anna Nelson who lived close by.
  2. Bennett’s grandfather's house.  He is the baby in the picture.
  3. Great grandma Johnson and family (Nelson). Brothers; Axel and Gust. Sister Sophie was the topic of many conversations. She was wild one! Nels and Eva Nelson also came to Nebraska from Sweden in the 1870's
  4. Bennett’s great Uncle Russell and his wife Nita
  5. Bennett’s great grandmother is the woman standing in the middle

  20. Ken’s grandfather Vern, his brother Gilbert and friends (about 1920)
